We need to have self control and not be captivated by our strongest desire. Here is a magic mirror. It shows the deepest desire of the master. As we put the apple in front of the mirror, the viewer wants to gain more apples so what he sees is the unbitten apple. If we put a dried bottle, what we see is a bottle full of water. The travelers in the desert can see a pond of water in the mirror. The mirror sees through our heart and mind so it reveals the desire of our heart. But we should not be captivated by it. For example, in the story of Snow White, the queen was captivated by her desire to become the most beautiful woman so she ordered to hunt Snow White and do something bad. Once we are captivated by our desire we are no longer our own master and we will end up in doing bad things. Another example is in Harry Potter, Professor Quirrell want the magic stone from the magic mirror. He was also dead because of his desire. So no matter what is inside the mirror, it’s fake and unreal. What we should do is face the reality and try not to be controlled by our desires.
