第四题D中的第四题 The ___ of a full stop at the end of the sentence is a deliberate act by the writer. 这句话如果用exclusion不可以吗

老师 我对文章中第9段最后一句话有问题：The same tenacious respect for individual liberty that stopped them killing healthy people, who did not want to die, now lets them help dying people who do. 这句中的tenacious respect for individual liberty应该翻译成 ”他们对个人自由意志的坚强的尊敬“ 吗 还有更好的说法吗

老师我还有一个问题 关于文章中第二段中 Which of these countries has a mercy-killing doctor now languishing in its jails? It is the smaller one, Holland... 这里不是应该是美国的实施安乐死的医生被关进监狱吗 怎么是荷兰的 荷兰不是把安乐死公开化了所以不会被抓 而在美国这种其他地方会被抓吗 请问怎么理解？谢谢

老师 我看第四课的D练习第一题 4D.1 中 evade 可以用作躲避问题吗：evade the question 是dodge 更强调躲避这个动作吗

evade可以表达回避问题，逃避责任等。 evade the issue, evade the responsibility.

dodge的含义也很多，不一定只是表达躲避这个动作。如PPT里所解释：
（1）躲(到什么地方)  dodge among the crowd 躲到人群中  dodge into a building 躲到楼里
（2）dodge sth. 躲开某物, e.g. dodge a car，躲开一辆车
(3)（用欺诈的方式）躲避, e.g. dodge military service 躲避服军役


第四题D中的第四题 The ___ of a full stop at the end of the sentence is a deliberate act by the writer. 这句话如果用exclusion不可以吗

omission的含义是”省略,遗漏，疏忽“，exclusion的含义是”排除，排斥“。
这句话的意思是”作者将句号省略“，所以用omission。

individual liberty的意思是 ”个人自由“， tenacious respect翻译成”坚强的尊敬“不是太通顺，可以翻译为”坚定不移的尊重”， 所以句子想表达的含义就是，荷兰医生始终坚持尊重他人的自由，所以它们当年拒绝参与纳粹实验，如今也愿意为不想活下去的病人实施安乐死。，

老师我还有一个问题 关于文章中第二段中 Which of these countries has a mercy-killing doctor now languishing in its jails? It is the smaller one, Holland... 这里不是应该是美国的实施安乐死的医生被关进监狱吗 怎么是荷兰的 荷兰不是把安乐死公开化了所以不会被抓 而在美国这种其他地方会被抓吗 请问怎么理解？谢谢

作者想表达的意思是：荷兰对安乐死是有严格的法律的。所以如果哪位医生没有按法律要求行事，是会入狱的。而美国法律不允许实施安乐死，按理说给病人实施安乐死的医生是应该入狱的，但反而没有，因为医生都是偷偷实施“。
